There is a plan

Never has there been a greater need for humanity to combine its wisdom and resources in pursuit of a workable plan for our collective future. Today, we appear to be on a collision course with crises of our own making and those arising from nature: war, famine, epidemic disease, environmental degradation, climate disruption, and the ever-present threat of nuclear catastrophe.
Among the many voices offering solutions to our global predicament, a remarkable body of spiritual teachings has emerged over the last three decades. Known collectively as the Correcting Time, these lessons present a coherent and hopeful vision for humanity’s future, emphasizing personal spiritual growth, sustainable social development, and conscious partnership with the divine presence within.
The teachings are attributed to celestial personalities such as Machiventa Melchizedek, Monjoronson, Sondjah Melchizedek, Uteah, Vutia, Rayson, Ophelius, and Charles, and many others, whose messages have inspired a growing international community of students and practitioners. While these teachings are available through numerous archives, study groups, and organizations around the world, their deeper significance lies in the consistency of their guidance and their focus on human spiritual development and planetary sustainability.
Many of those who received these teachings were readers of The Urantia Book, a spiritual, philosophical, and religious text that appeared in Chicago between 1925 and 1955. Presented as a revelation authored by celestial beings, The Urantia Book describes a vast, inhabited universe governed by spiritual laws and populated by countless orders of intelligent life. It portrays humanity as part of a much larger cosmic family and suggests that we are neither isolated nor abandoned in the universe.
One of the book’s central teachings is that every normal human being is indwelt by a fragment of God, called a Thought Adjuster. This divine presence dwells within the human mind, gently guiding each person toward truth, beauty, goodness, and spiritual maturity. The growth of the soul, according to these teachings, occurs as individuals increasingly align their choices with this inner guidance.
The celestial teachings remind us that humanity has always received assistance from spiritual personalities. The Urantia Book identifies both Machiventa Melchizedek and Jesus of Nazareth as divine teachers who appeared on Earth during critical periods of human development. It further suggests that our world is being prepared for another significant phase of spiritual progress and planetary transformation.
Modern science estimates that the universe contains inconceivably large numbers of planets, yet many people still imagine humanity to be alone in a largely empty cosmos. The teachings associated with the Correcting Time present a very different picture: a living, evolving universe teeming with life and overseen by benevolent spiritual intelligences committed to the welfare and progress of emerging civilizations.
The heart of the celestial message is surprisingly simple. Humanity’s future depends not merely on technological advancement but on spiritual growth. We are encouraged to cultivate conscious contact with the divine presence within and to allow that guidance to inform our daily decisions.
The teachers place particular emphasis on the family as the foundational unit of a sustainable civilization. Healthy families nurture the emotional, moral, and spiritual development of children and provide the basis for stable communities and nations. As Sondjah Melchizedek cautions:
“Families are essential for the continuity of worlds, and your world is on the brink of extinction because of this problem.”
The celestial teachings also propose seven core values for socially sustainable decision-making: life, equality, growth, quality of life, love, compassion, and empathy. These values are intended to serve as universal guides for individuals, families, organizations, and governments alike.
Underlying all these teachings is a restatement of the religion Jesus himself practiced: the daily pursuit of communion with the Father within. The kingdom of God, we are reminded, is not primarily an external institution but an inner spiritual reality. We are called not merely to believe truth, but to live it through loving service to others.
The Correcting Time presents a hopeful alternative to the fear and division that characterize much of modern life. It suggests that the challenges confronting humanity are not beyond our capacity to solve if we learn to listen more deeply—to the divine guidance within, to one another, and to the wisdom offered by our celestial partners.
At a time when human decision-making increasingly places our future at risk, the teachings of the Correcting Time invite us to consider a profound possibility: that humanity is not alone in its struggle, that guidance is available, and that a more compassionate, sustainable, and spiritually awakened civilization lies within our reach if we choose to participate in its creation
